- She left the bathroom and turned off the light. On her way to her bedroom, she passed her children's rooms. She paused briefly at Abigail's door and listened. Not a sound came from inside. Was Abigail already asleep? Jennifer decided not to worry about it any further and headed for her room when the door to Jacob's bedroom opened. The hallway was dark, and Jennifer saw a slender figure leaving the room. The person closed the door and started down the hallway when she bumped into Jennifer.
- "Shit!"
- Jennifer was just as startled and collided with the cursing figure. Abigail quickly recovered from her shock and found the light switch. The ceiling lights came on, and Jennifer realized that Abigail was still not wearing any clothes. She eyed her daughter curiously and remembered that Abigail had just slipped out of her brother's room.
